Well, just before Christmas, Ink & Quill and my subsite (at the time named An Unexpected Snow) got wiped out by a virus/worm type thing which was running about. You can imagine how overjoyed that made me. I considered just shutting the whole thing down and forgetting about it. But...

Somehow that just didn't seem right. My work with fanfiction has been a source of inspiration, comfort, challenge, and friendship for a very long time and I didn't want to give that up simply because of the malicious act of one person.

So, I made a choice. I asked for help with a shiny new layout and a great friend on livejournal jumped to my aid. She designed this site and even gave me some graphics. Another friend (who actually is on this site as well. Bring On The Rain) suggested that since I am a rather curious mix of fannish and personal, modern technology (love my computer) and the traditional life of my home province...I should make my site reflective of that. Hence the very traditional splash page and the quirky index page.

This is my newly reborn site. A Curious Mix. There's a lot of content to get back up and I don't know how long that will take me but...bear with me and we'll see what happens. I'm still figuring out this .php stuff but...I'm learning which is all that can be said, right?

So, look around, enjoy yourself, read some fic, mess around. Whatever and thanks for stopping by.
